Gail Evenari has been writing and producing award-winning films since 1983, starting with Spirit of the Land, an educational series about native cultures and traditions in Hawai’i and Alaska. In early 2014, she completed Timeless Craft, a short documentary about the building of a coastal outrigger sailing canoe using ancient Polynesian tools, methods and materials.
World Wise Adventures takes filmmaking in new directions – literally – teaching high school students to make films and taking them to local and global destinations for volunteer service work and cultural immersion. At the end of each adventure, teens have not only created wonderful memories that will last a lifetime — but they have also produced short films that benefit the communities they visit and share their experiences with the kids back home.
